New Roots

As most of you may know, my family has relocated from Pittsburgh to Rochester Hills, Michigan. It was a very quick transition with only a few weeks notice. We have settled into our place and are starting to get a feel for the community. I am very anxious to begin the Spring and Summer craft show season. Being new to the area is tough in that regard. Most show deadlines have passed but I have found a few that seem right up my alley!

My website is finally FINISHED! I'm so pleased with the outcome and all the encouragement. I still have a ton of new products to list and will continue doing so for the next week.

I am putting the finishing touches on the White Collection. It will debut in April.
I am also trying to get some pieces in a few high traffic blogs, so look out for a few giveaways and product reviews!

Fresh Opportunities

2013 made its grand entrance and now it's time to get down to business.

I have been approached by many customers to provide a home party service. This is an idea that I am very excited to try out. I am still in the process of figuring out the logistics, but my hope is that I will have the paperwork ready within the next week!

Here are a couple things I will be offering:

* The bridal package will allow the ultimate customization experience. Each member of the bridal party will have the option to choose the fabric, style, and vintage components to create a necklace that is unique to them.
All other home parties will have the option for Creative Customization* this will include your choice of fabric and style. Additional components may also be purchased. Your guests will also have a choice to create a customized scarf. In addition to these packages there will be other items available for purchase. If you are interested email me with desired date and location ASAP my show schedule is filling up quickly.

I have also been asked to put together a couple of vendor shows for a country club in Pittsburgh. I am still working on all the details and should have them available soon. I am looking at dates in January and February. These will be smaller markets and I will be looking for 10-15 vendors for each event.
Again, if this is something you think you may be interested in send me your information and as soon as I have all the details I will send you the application.

There's more...

We will be hosting a Sunday Market on March 10th in Treesdale. We are looking for 20 vendors for our Spring Market. If you are interested please email or

Dates and locations will be finalized and available next week
*direct sellers and handmade artist will be accepted

Simmer Pot Recipes

I walked into a store yesterday and was immediately greeted by the smell of spicy cinnamon.
{ One of my favorite fall smells}

I ran to the candle isle to see if the holiday scented candles were back in stock, Oh yes they were...
Vanilla latte, warm cinnamon, pumpkin pie... just to name a few. I love scented candles in fall scents but for $16.00? Yikes, candles have become expensive.

There are a lot of great DIY alternatives to making your home smell like fresh baked apple pie and for just a couple bucks. Here are some great simmer pot recipes to keep your home smelling like a crisp fall day.

All you need is a small saucepan and the ingredients of your choice. Fill the saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Add your ingredients and reduce heat to simmer. You will want to check the water level about every 30 minutes and add more if needed.

{Recipe 1}
Cinnamon sticks halved
Orange rinds
Whole cloves

{Recipe 2}
Cinnamon sticks halved
Apple peels (you can also use apple slices)
Orange rinds
Whole cloves

{Recipe 3}
1-Lemon peel
1-Orange peel
Whole cloves
Cinnamon sticks halved
 2-Bay leaves

{Recipe 4}
A few drops vanilla
Apple peel

{Recipe 5}
4-Bay leaves
2-Cinnamon sticks
1 tablespoon whole cloves

{Recipe 6}
 2-Herbal tea bags- (I had orange spice)
2 Cinnamon sticks halved
Orange rinds
Whole cloves

This is just a small example of what you can do with simmer pots. Just look in your spice cabinet and see what you have to work with. The smell is amazing and when your husband comes home he might just think you baked!

A Peachy Find

Doesn't this outfit put you in a good mood?

My anniversary is coming up this week and I am looking for an outfit like this to wear to brunch.
Luckily, I already own the shoes, jeans, and a similar vintage bracelet.

I will be on the hunt for a nude clutch, aqua necklace, and a peach blouse this week!

Happy Monday!
